With the aim of improving the rehabilitation and well-being of its patients, the Centre has inaugurated a space with advanced equipment designed to facilitate the physical recovery of its users, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to the continuous improvement of its services.
The new gym, equipped with BH Fitness, complements the center’s existing sports facilities and is divided into two areas: one for cardio and one for strength training. The cardio area includes treadmills, elliptical machines, indoor cycling, and stationary bikes, while the strength training area features a leg press, an abdominal workout machine, a seated row machine, an Olympic bench, and a multi-pulley system.
At the inauguration ceremony, various authorities were present, including the Brother Superior of the Order in Palencia, the Managing Director of the Center, Mariano Cortés Alonso-Villalobos, the Manager of Social Services, Esperanza Vázquez Boyero, the Territorial Delegate of the Junta, José Antonio Rubio Mielgo, the Deputy Government Delegate, Ángel Domingo Miguel Gutiérrez, the Mayor, Miriam Andrés Prieto, and the Provincial Deputy, Juan Antonio Obispo.
The event was complemented by a talk from Dr. Raquel Blasco, recognized as one of the top 100 doctors in Spain by Forbes magazine in 2024, specializing in the prescription of physical exercise for chronic patients and the elderly.
